The Gibson Chet Atkins SST featured a simulated soundhole and a plain headstock with no logo until 1993, when the soundhole was removed and the headstock took a more modern look with a star logo. The SST uses a chambered body with a Balsa center block and a bridge transducer with onboard electronics.Â
