Fair condition Old Kraftsman guitar. Alot of fun to play. Super comfy neck shape. Sounds whacky!! Love it. Comes with hard case.
These were built at the Kay factory in Chicago and sold through Spiegel catalogs back in the day. Often we think of Fender and Gibson as the big guitar manufacturers, but back in the 1960s, the guitar kings were Kay and Harmony, each producing guitars in Chicago.Â
History and Origins
House Brand: Used by Spiegel catalog to market affordable USA-made stringed instruments.
Main Manufacturer: Mostly built by Kay in Chicago, though select early archtops from the 1930s were produced by Gibson.
Decline: Squeezed out of the market by inexpensive Japanese imports during the mid-1960s
