From the Hahn website : 228s in swamp ash and alder. Necks are one piece maple, with the option of a rosewood fretboard. Frets are generally 6105. We outfit the 228 the Hahn cold rolled steel bridge which can either topload or run the strings thru-body. We also make the compensated brass saddles, stainless steel neckplate (.10" thick) and stainless body ferrules. Gotoh/Kluson tuners are used, as well as bone nuts, CRL switches, CTS pots and Orange Drop capacitors. Wiring is vintage cloth push back. Finally, the 228, like all Hahn guitars, is finished in roughly 25 coats of nitrocellulose lacquer with a total finish thickness of approximately .004".
