The Gibson Joan Jett Signature Melody Maker is a lightweight, stripped-down electric guitar based on Jett's personal 1965 vintage Melody Maker. First released by Gibson in 2008 in a Worn White finish, and later as a black "Blackheart" version in 2010, it features a single zebra-coil Burstbucker 3 humbucker and an onboard kill switch.
