Fair condition 1987 Fender American Standard Stratocaster. This is an 'export' model. The guitar has been refretted and the fretboard has not been refinished, to give that slightly relic'd appearance. Good weight, easy neck shape to play. Perfect for beginners to professionals. USA vintage guitar magic at a sensible price point.

The 1987 Fender American Standard Stratocasteris a historic first-year production model launched after Fender's 1985 buy-out, officially debuted at NAMM in January 1987. "Export models" from this era were identical to domestic USA specs—featuring 22 frets, a modern two-point tremolo, and bi-flex truss rod—but routed via international distributors.

Key Features

Body & Neck: Alder body with standard less-rounded edge contours, maple neck, and choice of maple or rosewood fingerboard.
Hardware: 2-point synchronized tremolo system and standard enclosed machine heads.
Electronics: Three original single-coil pickups wired to a 5-way selector switch, master volume, and delta-tone/standard tone controls.
Serial Numbers: Typically starts with an 'E4' or 'E8' prefix followed by five or six digits on the headstock decal (denoting the 1980s era, with 1987 overlap).
