That blank headstock would soon adopt the Telecaster name and bare it proudly for 70-plus years. From the tonewoods used to hardware and pickup wiring, this Limited-edition '51 HS Telecaster Heavy Relic captures aspects of the original Telecaster in immaculate detail. A stout but light ash body delivers authentic '50s tone paired with a rift-sawn maple neck and fingerboard for speedy fretting done in style. Powering this Telecaster’s tone are two handwound vintage pickups: a Crushed Blackguard single-coil in the bridge and a Seymour Duncan humbucker in the neck. Plus, the guitar features Fender’s impressive relic finish treatment that mirrors the way every guitar gets better with age.
