Beautiful condition, barely played. Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition '51 HS Telecaster Heavy Relic Guitar.
Back in 1951, Fender was in-between names for what would soon become their flagship Telecaster. A legal dispute over the guitar’s original name left half that year’s units with just “Fender” on the headstock — no model name in sight. That blank headstock would soon adopt the Telecaster name and bare it proudly for 70-plus years. From the tonewoods used to hardware and pickup wiring, this Limited-edition '51 HS Telecaster Heavy Relic captures aspects of the original Telecaster in immaculate detail. A stout but light ash body delivers authentic '50s tone paired with a rift-sawn maple neck and fingerboard for speedy fretting done in style. Powering this Telecaster’s tone are two handwound vintage pickups: a Crushed Blackguard single-coil in the bridge and a Seymour Duncan humbucker in the neck. Plus, the guitar features Fender’s impressive relic finish treatment that mirrors the way every guitar gets better with age. If you’re looking to own a piece of history without dishing out a fortune on the vintage market, now’s your chance!
