Glenn Wheatley's own Gibson Les Paul Signaure bass guitar from 1973. This item has some serious Australian music history providence. Brought into the store by the late Mr Wheatley's supreme leader, Gaynor Wheatley and the legendary John Farnham backing singer Lindsay Field. The condition is pretty decent, apart from a mark on the body front where a rag had sat on the guitar whilst remaining locked in it's case for years and years. Plays and sounds great. Comes with a road case from the era.
The Wheatley name is synonymous with some of the great Australian music ever created.Â
Built as a counterpart to the Les Paul Signature guitar of the '70s, the Les Paul Signature bass was one of several models designed in conjunction with Les Paul himself. These instruments used low-impedance pickups and the Signature Bass also included a three-position tone switch to control the output of the pickup. More recently, Epiphone makes a variation on this bass as the Jack Casady Signature model.
Body Style:Â Semi-hollowbody

Years of Production:Â 1973 - 1979
