The ES-335 has become a benchmark for semi-hollow guitars, and while many think of the Cherry Dot Inlay model first, this one takes it up a notch with stylish Block Inlays reminiscent of late-60s models. Notably, Eric Clapton’s legendary ES-335 also featured these Block Inlays, making this piece a nod to that iconic era. Furthermore, it comes equipped with Grover tuners, just like Clapton’s own instrument.
Construction and Tonewoods
The ES-335’s signature semi-hollow structure includes a solid maple center block with hollow wings on either side, delivering a perfect balance of acoustic resonance and solidbody sustain. It features a laminated maple body and a mahogany neck, maintaining the traditional ES-335 tonewood combination that has defined its legendary sound.
