To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Fender Telecaster (1951), the Fender Custom Shop has introduced the Limited Edition 1951 Telecaster electric guitar in six different finishes. This guitar features the Lush Closet Classic finish.
The body of this guitar is made from two pieces of select ash, the neck with a 10/'56 "V" profile is made from one piece of maple (quartersawn). The compound radius fingerboard (7.25 - 9.5") and twenty-one Narrow Tall frets give the instrument great playability and feel. Two hand-wound '50-'51 Blackguard pickups and a modified '51 "Nocaster" circuit with a blender potentiometer (position one adds a neck pickup) give the guitar the authentic feel of the originals. The strings are anchored in vintage-style tuning machines via a bone zero fret and a solid cob with three brass saddles through the body of the guitar. The stylish look is accentuated by the black single-ply pickguard and logo on the headstock. The instrument comes with the original second electronics with standard wiring.
